COVID-19 Physical Distancing On Elevators

Help prevent the spread of germs and protect yourself and others from COVID-19

-   Maintain a distance of 2 metres (6 feet) from others and face away from each other. Elevator sizes vary and may not allow more than two or three people to maintain that distance from one another. If your elevator is smaller, there should be no more than one person in the elevator at a time.

-   Give yourself extra time and if you can, take the stairs or just wait for the next elevator. Remember that now the most important is to be healthy and safe

-   Try to use gloves or clothing when pushing buttons in the elevator but if you have to use your hands, avoid touching your face afterwards.

-  When you get off the elevator, use hand sanitizer. When you get to your destination, wash your hands thoroughly, with soap and hot water for at least 20 seconds. Do not touch anything in your house until you have washed your hands.
