National Nursing Week 11- 17

Nurses are a vital part of the health community at every age, in all health situations, for all Canadians. The annual celebration in May is when we appreciate the dedication and achievements of the nursing profession. The World Health Organization (WHO) has also designated 2020 as the Year of the Nurse and Midwife in honour of the 200th anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth.

This week May 11- 17 remember to be grateful for all that nurses do year-round, as well as the incredible work being done these days in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. Nurses truly are our heroes committed to helping and saving lives. I invite you to celebrate this nurse’s holiday and to share this post with your loved ones.
